Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers for community members, customers, and local businesses using Kedesa.

Kedesa is built around local discovery, useful community activity, and stronger connections between nearby customers and businesses.

01

Kedesa Basics

What Kedesa is and how the local marketplace works.

What is Kedesa?
Kedesa is a local marketplace designed to bring nearby customers, community members, and businesses into one connected place. People can discover deals, local businesses, services, rentals, events, community activity, and other useful opportunities nearby. Businesses can use Kedesa to be discovered, promote offers, communicate with customers, and respond to local demand.
Is Kedesa an online store?
Kedesa is primarily a discovery and connection platform. Businesses and community members create much of the marketplace content. When you respond to a third-party listing, deal, service, rental, event, or community post, the underlying transaction or arrangement is generally between you and that third party. Kedesa also sells certain platform services directly, including eligible business plans, add-ons, and promotional placements.
What can I find on Kedesa?
You can explore local deals, participating businesses, services, rentals, events, community posts, local announcements, and other marketplace activity. Availability varies by location because Kedesa is designed around what is actually happening nearby.
Why does location matter?
Kedesa uses location information to make the marketplace useful locally. Search results, nearby businesses, deals, community activity, marketplace gaps, and certain opportunity features may depend on the location or search area you choose.
02

For Customers & Community Members

Finding, sharing, and connecting locally.

Do I need a business to use Kedesa?
No. Kedesa is built for both the community and businesses. Customers and community members can browse local activity, discover businesses and deals, use eligible community features, and share useful local information without operating a business.
What are Community Posts?
Community Posts let people share useful local activity that may not belong to a business, such as yard sales, neighborhood opportunities, local finds, and other relevant community information. Posts should be accurate, local, lawful, and useful to the community.
What is Kedesa Connect?
Kedesa Connect helps local customers and businesses connect around real needs and opportunities. Depending on the available feature, a customer may describe what they need while qualifying nearby businesses can discover or respond to that demand.
What is Deal Demand?
Deal Demand helps Kedesa recognize when people are searching for something that has very limited nearby deal coverage. Those demand signals can help the marketplace understand what local customers want and where participating businesses may have an opportunity to respond.
How do I report something that looks wrong?
Use the available report option on the listing or content when one is provided. You can also contact Kedesa for help. Reports may be reviewed by Kedesa administrators and can result in correction, removal, restriction, or other action when appropriate.
03

For Local Businesses

Profiles, deals, plans, promotions, and marketplace opportunities.

What can a business do on Kedesa?
Businesses can maintain a local business presence, publish eligible deals, use business announcements, receive or discover qualifying marketplace opportunities, use Kedesa Connect, access business tools and insights, and purchase eligible promotional features based on the business's current plan and available allowances.
Does Kedesa verify businesses?
Kedesa may use business verification and marketplace review processes to improve platform quality. Verification is a trust signal about information Kedesa has reviewed; it is not a guarantee of a business, product, service, transaction, or future conduct.
Do new businesses get a trial?
Eligible first-time businesses may receive an introductory access period after completing their business setup so they can try Kedesa's business features before moving to the access level available after the trial. The plan page and business dashboard show the current access, allowances, and expiration information that applies to the account.
What are add-ons?
Add-ons let eligible businesses purchase additional platform capacity or promotional access beyond what is included in their current plan. Availability and pricing can vary by feature and account eligibility.
How does Homepage Spotlight work?
Homepage Spotlight is a featured promotional placement. A business selects an eligible placement, reviews the preview, completes any required payment, and submits the placement for Kedesa review. A reservation or payment does not make a Spotlight immediately live; the placement must satisfy Kedesa's review and scheduling requirements.
04

Accounts, Payments & Help

Important account and checkout questions.

How are payments handled?
When Kedesa offers a paid plan, add-on, or promotional purchase, checkout may be processed securely through Kedesa's payment provider. Kedesa's current embedded checkout uses Stripe to handle card details, and Kedesa does not store your full card number.
Where can I see what my business has available?
Your Kedesa business account and subscription areas show the current plan, included allowances, add-on balances, and other available business features. Access can change when a trial ends, a plan changes, or an allowance is used.
How can I get help?
Use Kedesa's Contact page when you need assistance with an account, report, business feature, payment issue, or other platform question.
